Bird was born in Wilson county on December 22, 1876, the son of Mr. The heavy veil of sorrow entered the hearts of hundreds of friends throughout Llano and adjoining counties on last Friday morning as the sad message was conveyed that Albert Bird was dead, having passed away that morning at 8:30 o'clock after an illness of several weeks duration. She has gone to a well-earned rest, and the "News" recognizing this, extends its heartfelt sympathy with the family at the same time enjoying with the bereaved a similar hope of eternal peace and rest after passing over the waters and through the valley of the shadow. She was always delighted to have her pastor come in at any time and visit and talk about the work of the church, and this pleasure was accentuated since she became a "shut in". This estimable lady has lived a long, happy, useful life, and it cannot be said of many that they were members of the church in good standing for 56 years. The funeral services were held at the home on Thursday at 11 a.m., January 27, 1910, in charge of her pastor, Rev. Eaton, and has always remained a member there.
