Years of silence and at least one false start in development later and Nintendo still hasn’t delivered the game. The first entry since Metroid Prime 3: Corruption wrapped the original trilogy in 2007, part four had been a long time coming and couldn’t get here soon enough. At last, we’d get a continuation of the GameCube series that introduced an entire generation of gamers to Samus Aran and her dangerous sci-fi world. I've got no idea if Metroid Prime 4 might release this year, but there are plenty of other new games for 2023 to enjoy regardless.Nintendo brought down the house during its E3 2017 Direct presentation with the announcement that Metroid Prime 4 was on the way. (That reporter has, at least, shaved his head in shame.) A remake of the original Metroid Prime was rumored to release in 2022, though obviously that didn't happen. There are still glimmers of hope for Prime 4, too, with job listings and Twitter teases hinting that the game is making progress. Metroid fans haven't been completely starved during the wait for Prime 4 - after all, Metroid Dread was announced and released in the span since that development reboot. Who knows how many more weeks there will be to come. posting_a_samus_figma_picture_every_week_until from r/Metroid

Someone's posting weekly photos of a Samus Aran action figure until Metroid Prime 4 launches.

The IsPrime4Out subreddit continues to say "no" and the Daily Metroid Prime 4 News Update continues to note that the news is that there is no news. Meanwhile, the daily update gag accounts continue their important work.
